Our history begins in 1965 in Messinia, Greece and today we are all over Greece and the world. Many things have changed since we started in the sixties, what is certain is that OMEGA is a Greek company, with tradition, vision, passion and the ability to resist through challenges and continue to evolve every day, always keeping the consumer in mind as its first priority.
1965
Establishment of the company by Konstantinos Konstantakopoulos in Kalamata, Greece dealing with the wholesale of rice.
1970
Construction of the first rice mill and factory in the industrial area of Sperhogeia, Kalamata, Greece.
1979
Integration of pulses in the product range.
1980
Investment in the production of icing sugar and corn flour.
1982
Launch of packaged rice and pulses OMEGA CLASSIC.
1995
Establishment of a branch in Athens.
2000
Production consolidation with a new packaging line for standup pouch and the launch of the OMEGA Special line.
2004
Expansion into the pet food category with the acquisition of the Le Chef and Breed Line brands.
2005
Establishment of a branch in Thessaloniki.
2008
Registration of the Jump, Best, Choky, Youpi and Choky brands.
2012
Expansion of production with a new packaging line and modern pulse cleaners.
2018
Launch of breakfast cereals with the brand "FISI."
2020
Launch of a range of tomato products under the brand "OSKAR."
2021
Launch of a range of Greek harvest, of Greek legumes with place of origin.
